LETTER FROM THE CO-CHAIRS

Dear Guest,

The McGill Investment Club (MIC) is a multi-faceted organization in the Desautels Faculty of Management that strives to educate students about careers in finance. Among other activities, we assist students with the full-time and summer recruitment processes and host guest speakers for career seminars. Students who participate in the MIC’s activities are enthusiastic about exploring careers in the financial industry.

In order to foster this learning, the MIC is organizing its First Annual Toronto Finance Convention for a select group of 85 McGill students from Thursday, October 23rd to Saturday, October 25th, 2008 at Le Meridien King Edward Hotel. We are hosting a variety of interactive workshops ran by leaders in the Finance industry, the opportunity to listen to keynote speakers such as Dennis Gartman of the Gartman Letter, a CEO Speakers Symposium, a Toronto Banking Tour as well as an array of networking events.

The primary purpose of the Convention will be to expose a group of talented future leaders to the various financial careers available to them. This Convention will also be a great opportunity for to meet some of the brightest minds on Bay Street and learn more about working and living in Toronto.

With the generous support from our sponsors and our speakers, we look forward to bringing the experience of a lifetime to the passionate students of the inaugural convention. “There is no challenge too great for those who have the will and heart to make it happen.” – Anonymous

Sincerely,
